This summer, Borregaard Manor opens the doors to its most majestic building: the main house from 1702. For the very first time, guests are invited to stay in the heart of this living manor, surrounded by historic salons, artwork, and a park shaped by centuries of tradition.
This is an exclusive opportunity for those seeking something truly out of the ordinary.
From June 20 to August 24, you can book an exceptional stay in the historic main building – a grand residence once reserved for noble families, industrial magnates, and distinguished guests. Now, Classic Norway Hotels opens this extraordinary part of Borregaard Manor to individual travellers, with only 14 rooms available.
Your stay includes curated experiences focused on hospitality, quality and tranquillity. Upon arrival, you’ll be personally welcomed and assisted with your luggage. Throughout the day, enjoy warm and cold refreshments, along with cakes served in the stately lounges or in the peaceful garden.
In the afternoon, guests are invited to enjoy light canapés and stories from the manor’s dramatic and fascinating past – followed by a refined 3-course dinner in the grand dining room.
Borregaard Manor reflects a deep appreciation for art, craftsmanship and cultural heritage. The interiors have been beautifully restored with care and respect for the soul of the house.
Here, you don’t just get a room – you step into another time.
“This is a unique opportunity for travellers seeking depth and atmosphere,” says Hotel Director Leon. “The manor has never before been open in this way, and we are truly excited to welcome guests to our most special summer experience.”
